Hi Jan,
I can say that we have an Abiah Bangs witnessing the 1751 John Carruthers
will, and there is 'your' Abiah Carruthers. If you have the time & interest,
please assist us to sort this out. There is much, beginning w/Christine's
message of mid-Dec, going thru ~mid-Feb. Look for some large messages of
mine that attempt to combine a bunch of info into one location.
If someone else has resolved it in their minds, perhaps they will
comment. It's very difficult to juggle long term research into a surname
situational awareness conclusion - we usually await further input. We rely
very much on Christine, and those few others like her, who combine true
in-library sweat work w/insightful analysis.
Barry

Hello..I am not a Bangs nor a Wetherington..but a
Carithers/Caruthers...doing research on my family..which appears on
record
in Abbeville SC with William Carithers b. April 12 1754.
My question: do any of you know who Abiah Caruthers parentage is...?mother
and father?Thank you very much...I am envious that you have been able to
get
as far back as you have with the Bangs/Wetherington...Regards, Jan
McChesney
