Hi Vera Bangs One, (verabangs1) (philly0611(a)hotmail.com,, are you in
contact w/Vera?)
Hope you get this - you left no email addy, though
philly0611(a)hotmail.com did. 'Our' Edward BANGS emigrant, Chichester, arrived
Plymouth on the ANNE late Jul 1623, just following the MAYFLOWER. I host the
RootsWeb Bangs-L List. I have a large paper 12x17 Gen of this family, abt
7 -9 generations down to the mid-1700s, by Dean Dudley, Boston - send me a
stamped large env and I'll send you a copy.
As a Wetherington, I'm interested because The Bangs and Wtons /
Carruthers joined in blood in the 1700s, generally in the North Carolina
coastal area, / New Bern area where the Bangs were active in shipping &
seafaring, though Dudley did not capture this (he noted only New England
surnames). The NC archives, see below, contain wills, etc., including of the
Carruthers. Also, a Wton desc has produced a Wton Tree containing BANGS,
including Rebecca Hobart md Edwd Bangs 1636, s/o John Bangs (b b1591
Panfield d 1677) md & Jane Tavis.
Pls call if interested.

I am doing a one name study of the Bangs family in England and can look up
what I have on William and his family if you like. But I probably will not
have much more than you do.
