My great-grandmother was Sarah Cornelia Carothers b. 1/2/1851
Charlotte,
North Carolina d. 11/25/1911 Georgetown, Williamson County Texas. I don't
have a clue as to when the spelling changed, although it seem as though it
was when the family came to America. Bible records etc. spell it as
"Carothers" since 1750.
This is her line, from Bible records and State Records. I do not have this
in any kind of program yet. I will have to provide this information as it
was written and provided through letters and records. The reader will have
to be diligent to keep some of this straight.

I have the lineage of Sarah Cornelia Carothers and John Henry Hodges down
to the present - by direct line to myself.
For those who have an interest in DAR, James Carothers served as a private
in the Continental Line under Captain William Lytle. This is verified under
North Carolina State Records - Vol. XVII page 198, and DAR national numbers
264900, 271089, 232029, and 259776.
I have too many pages of typed data on this line if someone has an interest
in this line, I could scan these pages into JPEG files for viewing.

Earl Hodges
