Hi Researchers,
We have often mentioned Tryon Palace, New Bern, NC (a significant port
in earlier times) when discussing early W'ton / Carruthers research. For ex,
Rocksolannah Carruthers lived on lot 98, New Bern, catty cornered to the
Tryon Palace.
Here are photos of Tryon Palace, for those who have never been to New
Bern:

About a month ago, I posted info from & records of the New Bern courts,
including many refs to early New Bern Carruthers, including actual refs to
the Lot 98 property. We've not heard much from Carruthers researchers
evaluating the significance of these records, particularly in view of the
evidence/ suggestions that there were 2 different Rocksolannahs. Are there
any Carruthers descendants still living in the New Bern area? Do we have any
New Bern area researchers online w/us? Has anyone (W'tons OR Carruthers)
spent any time w/local real property records?
