Found photos of 6 survey records for Alexander, James, Lander (must be Leander), and
Ch_arm (shown as listed) Carruth at the following web address:
http://152.18.128.193/cdm4/results.php?CISOOP1=any&CISOBOX1=carruth&a...
The first survey photo page shows a sketch of a 100 acre lot for Alexander Carruth. There
are several other survey sketches on this photo. There is no date or location noted.
The second survey photo page is a survey for Ch_arm Carruth (shown as listed) and list
Leroy Carruth at the bottom. There is a middle initial listed for Leroy that looks like a
G. The date appears to be March 4, 1830. The survey is for 65 acres. on the,
"Pacolate River." Also known as Pacolet River (see below):

Click the maps on the right side of the above link to see the river.
The river runs just north of Spartanburg, SC.
In the book, 'From Whence Ye Came," by Lela Grant Carruth, it is noted for
Leander Perry Carruth that he lived in Spartanburg before moving to Georgia.
Can any of you recognize the name in photo number two?
The third survey photo page (go to second page after clicking on this one) is a survey for
Alexander Carruth, 45 acres, in Rutherford County on both sides of the North Fork of the
Pacolate River. The name Logan is shown more than once concerning the land next to this
lot. Alexander (if this is who I think it is) married Sarah Logan. There is no date
noted.
The fourth survey photo page is a survey for Lander Carruth, 150 acres, mentioned as being
on the north side of the North Pacolate and next to Robert and Rachel Logan's land
(possibly his aunt and uncle). There is no date noted, but there is a warrant number
1446. John Lankford and William Scott are shown at the bottom.
Leeroy Carruth married Sibey Lankford and Ephraim Carruth's second marriage was to
Susanne Lankford. Ephraim's son Alexander Carruth, married Sarah Scott and James
Logan was a witness. Alexander's (uncle or brother or possible father of Ephraim,
Leeroy, and Aspacio) second marriage was to Lottie Scott who had a son named Willie.
Alexander's daughter Marry (Polly) Knox Carruth, later married Willie Scott.
The fifth survey photo page is a survey for Alex. Carruth, 195 acres on both sides of the
North Pacolate River, warrant number 1890, showing a date of March 1, 1819. At the bottom
there is another date showing October 5, 1820. Lander Carruth is shown at the bottom.
Could be Leander, Alexander's son who lived near Spartanburg.
The sixth survey photo page is a survey for James Carruth, 70 acres on the side of Mobroes
Mountain on the Pacolate River, warrant number 2305, and next to James Logan's land.
A date of March 31, 1802 appears at the bottom and Alex. Carruth is shown at the bottom.
James married Mary Logan December 7, 1802. James' brother Alexander married
Mary's sister Sarah. Mary and Sarah's father was James Logan.
Lot of names here.
Alexander (surveys shown in photos 1, 3, and 5), I believe is Robert's son. Robert
being the son of Alexander that died in PA. (1739), before his family and the families of
his brothers moved on to VA. and NC.
Lander (fourth survey photo), I believe is Leander, Alexander's son who had the
surveys done shown in photos 1, 3, and 5.
James (fifth survey photo), I believe is Alexander's brother and Lander's uncle.
The second survey photo is for an unknown Carruth and may be of help in some way if we can
determine who the survey was done for.
