Dear Laurie and Harvey;
I am responding to both of your email's to let you know that if any of the
Carruth's came out of Louisiana, most likely they are of the Rustin, Louisiana
Carruth's which originates from Georgia, by way of Alabama.
I am copying this email to my favorite person who knows alot about the Carruths of
Louisiana.

Otis Carruth was my grandfather. I did not know him or any of my relatives on his side.
I do know that my great-grandparents names were John and Alice Carruth. I am not trying
to locate anyone to meet them. I would only like to know who my family was. Thank you to
anyone who can help me out.

Hello Laurie,
Found two named Otis Carruth that lived in Texas, but wife not listed. One is mentioned
as a brother to Jesse M. Carruth and the other does not match what you wrote in your other
message concerning parents being John and Alice. The one listed as Jesse's brother
was a minister and lived in Hockley, Texas. The other is listed as living in Van Alstyne,
Grayson Co., Texas. Does any of this match what you may have?
Good Luck in your search!!
Harvey Carrouth

Hi, and thank you for the post. The only information that I have is this. His family was
from Louisiana and he moved to Leon County, Texas in the 1940s. My grandfather had
brothers, and their names were Samuel and Irving. I also know that my grandfather had two
more sons and a daughter. My father is his only child from his first marriage. From my
research online, I discovered that Otis Oscar Carruth was on the board for Little Brushy
Cemetary, and that is where he and is wife Thressa Lewis are buried, which is in Leon
County, Texas. You may not remember me, but you and I spoke via email around eight years
ago. Thank you for trying to help me.
