Hello Karen and Dee,
I'm glad to see the great postings and inquiries being posted on our Carruth rootsweb
list. Hope to see many more in the coming years. Karen, you can check for the past
messages sent to the Carruth rootsweb list at:
http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
There you will find a few messages I have sent that show some of the Carruth family from
the southern parts of the USA. Look in particular for the messages with the subject lines
of:
1. James Elbert Carruth (d. 1850) and family
2. Carruth / McCormick cousins
and
3. James Carruth (Dumbarton, Scotland>Antrim County, Ireland)
Also, you can check my webpage at:
http://hometown.aol.com/harvey33/Page1.html
At the bottom of this page you will find links to page two and three of this webpage that
have many links and records listed for the Carruth family including many who have lived in
the southern states of the USA.
Best Wishes,
Harvey Carrouth

Hi Dee. Biography and will were interesting. My great uncle, Claude Walter
Carruth, told me years ago that we were Irish. Now I know he must have
meant Scotch/Irish, however, all of my Carruth relatives discovered so
far are from AR, TN, & AL. Haven't found any Yankees yet. Do you know if
all of the Carruths in N. Ireland settled in the north?
