Hi Harold, Rick and Everyone,
I'm not sure if any of you besides Harold and Rick have been getting mail
to me richocheting back. Sorry 'bout that. As you can see, the correct
address is with a "j" after the "@," instead of the "i."
Sounds like you're getting the TeaM recording project off the ground? I'm
looking forward to the news and to hearing from you!
Love, john

I just received a post from Mr. Creger and his return address was listed as
jcreger(a)ips.net. I reckon this is the one we should use.
>Harold you reveal my ignoprance of CD when you and Thea mention Redbook.
>Please explain so I can get up to speed with you.
Well, I'm certinly no expert but it's my understanding that for an audio CD
to be playable on every CD player, it must be created using the "Redbook"
standards, a set of standards that Sony and Philips came up with when they
indroduced the format to ensure CD compatibility across many hardware
platforms. These standards include how the audio is recorded on the disc,
how the player will read the "table of contents" and the use of specific
codes to determine how songs start and stop including spaces in between.
Thea's idea about the possibility of two CD's has merit. I
certainly don't
want to stifle creative expression, even if I could! I would love to learn
more about the "multimedia" side of CD creation and look forward to reading
posts from those of you out there who are planning to contribute in this
way. Perhaps a "show of hands" is needed in order to get a general idea of
who's planning on doing what. Comments?
Love for now,
Harold
