Fellow CARROLL Researchers:
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and thought it would be a good time for a brief
status report on our list.
We have been functioning a little more than four months and have slightly more than 100
members. Pretty
good. I also shepard the PHILLIPS list and that is about the growth rate it has
experienced. We are
starting to see more frequent postings and that, of course, will grow along with our
membership. Once we
reach 200-250 members, we should begin to see several postings every day. I am glad to
see some of
you repeating your queries periodically, which seems a good idea considering the influx
of new members.
One item I wanted to mention is archives. Yup, we havum. They are located at:

Give it a try.
This has been a really hectic year for my wife Helen (Carroll) and I, but sometime during
the coming year,
I would like to get a web page going. This page would be primarily to help bring to the
attention of all the
List members, some of the information gathered and available on the net by members like
James (Jim)
Carroll and Doug Hunt. There are others, I know, who also have their own pages with
information that
would be of interest to the List. I would appreciate it if those of you who have such
accessible material
would post a note with that information along with a brief description of the contents. I
will gather these
and hopefully do something in a slightly organized fashion.
Guess that's about all for now. Helen and I wish each of you a blessed New Year and
hope you have
much success in your genealogy research.
