Subject: 1930 US Census
Just read my copy of Missing Links, Vol 4, NO 36.
The 1930 US Census will be available for purchase April 1, 2002 from the
National Archives Building. Copies will be available to view at each of
the 13 Regional Offices that date.
There are approximately 2668 rolls of census records.
Soundexing will be available for the following states: Alabama, Arkansas,
Florida, Georgia, Kentucky (part), Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia (part).
If I interpret the catalog correctly the prices is $34 per roll, plus a
sliding scale for postage. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. That could
get expensive in a hurry for the 127 rolls for Texas!
