Note: The 1861 census for Charlottetown does not seem to show this family.
There IS a James Carroll, laborer, but the age distribution of the family is
completely at variance with the above family and seems to be better connected
to another James Carroll family (older?). The 1871 and subsequent censuses
need to be examined. There is a James Carroll, butcher, living in
Charlottetown in 1871. Who he is is anybody's guess.
