One of my grandmother's brothers named one of his sons Kenneth too. They sure liked to
pass the names down. I descend from William M, George, George W. Robert Kyle, Maggie
Lena,( my grandmother) Do you by any chanch know whether George had a daughter Catherine
who married Valentine Baumbach? Do you know anything about the two Georges? I know George
married Nancy? and George W. married a widow Elizabeth Glandon. She also came from Tn. Her
husband was Thomas and she had two children by him Stephen and Nancy. Nancy married
Lorenzo Carroll who someone said was a brother to George W. I haven't had much luck
finding out anything about them before the7y came to Missouri. I looked up George's
probate, I think he died 1863. Jacob's was there too but I never looked at it. I may
go back tomorrow and I will look at it. I haven't been able to find out where the two
George's or their wife's are buried. George W. died in 1880. I found a piece in
the newspaper filmstrips from 1879 about him!
and his son James. He had James sit up and watch the fields that night as some travelers
had came through earlier and George W. thought they might be up to no good. Interesting
finding something from that far back. Is there any chance that you can send me what you
know about this family. I have found a lot of the Carrolls and I was sure we were
connected to the ones at Woolam, ( small town at one time just outside of Owensville) I
have gone to the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery where a lot of them are buried. You said
your family came through Mo. Where did they wind UP?
