I am a descendent of Major Hardy Carrell of Stokes County, NC. In my effort
to better understand the Carrell (changed to Carroll) family, I have
compiled the census results for Stokes County from 1790 to 1840. I have
listed them below. (For some reason when I cut and paste from Word 2000, it
is double-spaced!)
I am trying to learn the answers to the following questions:
1. Who is Benjamin Carroll in 1790? What became of him?
2. Who is the male under 10 years of age in Hardy Carroll's household in
1820?
3. Who is Herling Carroll who is in the 1820 census? Where did he come
from and where did he go?
4. Who is the male 10-15 and the female 15-20 in Hardy Carroll's household
in 1830?
5. Where was Hardy Carroll in 1840?
I anyone has information about these Carrolls, please help me.
