Seeking contact/ suggestions/help in locating father/mother/ siblings of
Charles C. Carrroll, b,abt.1840 in Ontario.Charles C. Carroll came down into
the New York area
most likely to take part in our Civil War.Suspect that the new york Carrolls
and the New York Barrs were relatives. After discharge, he settled in the
Titusville, Crawford Co. ,Pa area.where he married Mary Ann Barr at St, Titus
R.C. Church, Titusville, Pa.
on Nov. 19, 1865. He is listed on the 1870 census of that place under the
surname
"CARL", with occupation of brick manufacturer.Charles C. Carroll died at Big
Bend, West Virginia . Aug.4, 1928.
By the time of the 1880 census of Crawford Co., Pa. Charles C. was in the oil
production business at Titusville, Pa. He and his sons made career
occupations of that business, relocating to West Virginia and then to Ca. He
and and his wife had 3 sons and two daughters, all married, however, only
son, Charles N. Carroll had children. Charles N. Carrroll married my Aunt,
Jane McIntyre, on 1899 at St. Lukes Church, Carnegie, Pa.They had five
children: Lilah Mary, Kenneth Charles, Catherine, Joseph and William John.
Charles Napoleon Carroll died in Santa Maria, CA. January 01, 1944, His Obits
indicated that he was a descendent of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, one of
the original signers of our Declaration of Independence.
I very much would like to make contact with anyone researching for Carroll
relatives who resided in Ontario ,Canada that had possible links to either
