I don't have any information about Absalom Carroll Sr leaving Ireland,
arriving in the U.S. and where he first settled. I think his son, Benjamin
Franklin Carroll (Sr) was born in SC, then moved to Ms and then to Tx. I
really don't see a connection at this time. I'll keep your note and future

I wonder if either of you could in any way associate your Absolum
to any families in Duplin/Sampson County, NC?
Family lore says Alexander CARROL/CARRELL came into the colonies
near Wilmington, NC. My first knowledge of him was when he
married Lucy RYAL/ROYAL in Duplin County in 1783. This would make
him a likely candidate to have been a younger brother of your
Absolum. Since these families usually traveled together, I
thought there might be a link.
Do you know of any possibility?
