DEATHS IN KANSAS CITY.
Mrs. Mary T. CARROLL, 83 years old, died yesterday afternoon
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orlando SPRAGUE, North
Liberty Street, Independence. She had been ill three months.
Heart disease caused death. She was born at Sandgate, Vt.,
and in infancy went to Grandville, O. She went in 1866 to
Independence, which was her home most of the time since.
Her husband, Prof. A. CARROLL, formerly principal of the
Independence public schools, died seven years ago.
These children survive: Mrs. Orlando SPRAGUE, with whom she
lived; C. A. CARROLL, an Independence newspaper man;
C. M. CARROLL of Spokane, Wash., and William CARROLL of
Butte, Mont. The body of Mrs. CARROLL will be sent to Olathe,
Kas., for burial beside that of her husband.
