When I wrote the letter below, I made an error.
In the sentence, "You should get a list of 12 books by someone with the name
"Anjou". That should read "You should get a list of
12 AUTHORS with the name "Anjou".
To make the rest of the directions a little more clear:
Then when you click on "Anjou, Gustave" you will see a list of his books which
are in the LDS library. One of those is "Carroll
Family". Clicking that gives you a description of the book.
Sorry for that mistake. One word CAN make a difference.

: You can see a list of Anjou's books if you go to
http://www.familysearch.org and
choose the "Library" tab near the top. At that
: page choose "Family History Library Catalog" right under the Library tab.
Next choose "Author Search" and at that page type in
just
: the last name "Anjou". (Remember some of his books only included an initial H.
of the initial M. and not the name Gustav.)
:
: You should get a list of 12 books by someone with the name "Anjou". The
CARROLL book is written under the author "Anjou, Gustave".
: Once when I did this search this author did not appear with the others in the list of
authors, but it did this morning.
:
: The description given with the CARROLL book says: "The Carroll family originally
from Ireland, and settled in Maryland." I
assume
: that the book is about the larger family of one we have come to know as a "Charles
Carroll of Carrollton". Many people seem to
: think that all CARROLL's are related to the Maryland family, even though our paper
trail would indicate otherwise. It is a shame
to
: know that there may be deliberate errors in any family genealogy, and others have been
using those errors as a foundation for
their
: own family lineage.
