12/09/2014: I finally figured out Thomas B Carroll! He was never married to Margaret
Francis Brumfield.
1860 Census: He was only a farmhand or servant in the Pike county home of Willam Simmons
(Simons) and Francis in the 1860 census - William was 52, Francis was 40 and Jesse was 2
or 3. Thomas was 23. There were several small Simmons kids, too.
1850 Census: Thomas B. was a farmhand or servant in the home Louisiana home of Sandy
Bukham in the 1850 census at the age of 13.
1840 Census: Thomas was 1 yr old and was born to Thomas Carrell (a ship's mate) and
Elinoir (Ellen) Boylan Carroll in Orleans Parish, LA about 1849. Married in 1848 in
Orleans JP records. They were living in the home of Helen (Boylan?) Kennedy and a bunch
other Boylan kids in the 1840 census.
1870 Census: Thomas Sr. and Ellen lived near Mobile, Alabama with 2 other small children
in the 1870 census.
Haven't gone back from here yet.

If anyone has ran across him in their research it'd be great to know about it and give
me a starting point. He was married to my Great-Grandmother Mary Susie Carroll. I
don't know her maiden name and none of my family seems to know much about either of
them and I haven't been able to locate either of them in a census or anything else
yet. I know she was born in 1921 in Logan County, Kentucky and they had a daughter named
Mary that died when she was 7 or 8? from her tonsils busting (or so I'm told). I know
it's not a lot to go on but that's literally about all the information other
family has been able to give me and I've come up empty handed every where I look!
Thanks!
