I'm not sure to whom this is directed. On the outside chance it was me, I
am responding. According to oral family history, my g-grandfather,
William Carroll, was from Co. Tipperary, Ireland. I have very little information
about him. The only locations I have for him are Hardin Co., KY and Perry
Co., IN. I don't have a definite birthdate for him, but it was somewhere
between 1837 - 1846. He died, 1889, in Cannelton, Perry Co., IN. He
married Anna Minton abt. 1873, probably in Hardin Co., KY. Wm and Anna are
buried in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Cannelton. I am pretty sure he had
no connection to Wisconsin.

Just saw where you mentioned your Carrolls were from Co Tipperary. I
Am searching for the Patrick Carroll family near Clonmel. They were farmer
and had 11 children baptized in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
between 1815 and 1835. Five of the sons emigrated to the US in the mid
1800s, settling in Wisconsin. Could there be any connection? Carol
