Will,
Interested in knowing what you are referencing by "see page 3, 7th
generation...".
I, too have a William Carroll, born in Co. Tipperary, Ireland. My
information is sketchy at best. Do you have any information about what parish,
town, or village in Co. Tipperary your Carrolls came from?
My William Carroll was my g-grandfather, birthdates ranging from 1837 to
1846, but most likely abt. 1842. I have no information about when he
emigrated. The only thing I know for sure about him is his death in Jan. 1889,
Cannelton, Perry Co., IN. He is buried (beside his wife, Anna Minton) in
St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Cannelton. IN. William and Anna probably
married abt. 1873 in Hardin Co., KY as there is a birth record in the St.
Clare Catholic Church Records-Hardin Co., KY for their first child, James
Dionisius, b. 27 Oct. 1874. William and Anna (Minton) Carroll moved to
Cannelton, Perry Co., IN by 1886 - the year my grandmother, Anna Carroll, was
born.
Thanks for any information,
Jane Wheaton

I don't recognize these particular people, but there are Williams (many),
Michaels and Edwards in my family, who emigrated from Co. Tipperary between
1825 and 1850 and settled in Baltimore. See page 3, 7th generation. (I'm
in the 10th generation, 6th from left.)

I am stuck at researching my family at my great grandfather, William
Carroll II. He was born about 1882 in Baltimore, MD, and moved to New York
where he married Anna McGee. They had three children, William (my grandfather
born in 1912), Margarite (born about 1914), and Anne (born about 1917). He
died sometime before 1920 in New York. I know that he had at least one
brother named either Edward or Michael. I do not have any solid information
on his parents, but they might have been born in Ireland and immigrated to
the US during the potato famine. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
