Sorry so late.....I just read your post from November. My great-grandfather(Richard Carroll) was born in Collon, County Louth, around 1846. His death certificate states his birth place as Drogheda (information provided by my grandfather, James P. Carroll). The death certificate states that Richards father was Peter Carroll, from County Meath. That's all the information that I have. We're probably related but proving it is tough. I have a cousin in Dublin that has some contacts in Louth, and they are working on my tree. I'll let you know if anything turns up. Charlie Carroll ccarroll1947(a)yahoo.com

HI,
Can I suggest we get together? I agree with you that some information that some of us have needs to be sorted out before distributing it etc.
I have been in contact with the following people perhaps you have as well:
Nancy (Carroll) Lewis Husband was Clyde Lewis
Jean (Spears) Carroll Husband was Martin Carroll and The line of Carroll's that I am researching mostly is my daughter in-laws mother's line. This line is located in Dartmouth NS.They descend from the Mathew Line who is the son of Patrick Carroll and Nancy Barbra Langille.
Mathew's son George W H Carroll moved to Dartmouth in the early 1900s.
I would like to share what I have and maybe together we can support our information with certainty before releasing any of it.
Have A Great Day!
Wes

The information I have is a mishmash, and posting it would be counterproductive, until it is synthesised by family members.

Not sure what difference it makes. If I didn't have a reason for researching the Carroll family do you think I would waste my time doing so?
My paternal great-grandmother was a Carroll. Her family immigrated from Ireland to Nova Scotia during the potato famine. Some stayed in Nova Scotia and some moved south to the US.
BTW, your use of "whom" is pretentious and incorrect.

Are you in Nova Scotia or near Carroll's Corner? I am in Nova Scotia at Cole Harbor. The previous question was in-regards to Terrance Carroll. His father was Patrick Carroll 1786-Jan 1839 and mother was Nancy Barbara Langille 1787 - aft 1871.
Patrick is the original Carroll to have the farm that was located where the gypsum quarry is now. I have pictures of a family etc. Also the early Carrolls from Patrick are mostly buried at St. Bernard,s Catholic church in Enfield Nova Scotia.

Hi,
I am researching Terrence Carroll born Halifax and moved to his parents farm in Milford circa 1830. He was my GG grandfather. I would love to know his father's name. He was the first to own the land the gypsum quarry is located on.
Thanks,
Lynn Millar

I'm looking for more information on Rebecca Carroll and John Hughes. ca 1811 and ca 1808, respectively.
They are 3rd g-grandparents to me. Macon, North Carolina area, then moved to Towns County, GA.
I see on a death certificate for Joseph A. Hughes, that Rebecca's surname is Carroll, mother Rebecca Carroll. I'm linking the Joseph A. Hughes as a son to Rebecca and John by census and the death notice.
Asking for information on Rebecca in a Carroll family marrying a John, John Hughes, Hughes and moving to Georgia.
Do you know of a person, who is a Carroll family in North Carolina contact?
