I am trying to find a Jacob Carroll on the 1900 Census, he would be 72 years old. He was born in Henry County Indiana in 1828 and died in 1911. He was the son of John and Catharine (Burkett/Byrkett)Carroll. In 1910 he was living with his son John S. Carroll and his wife Christina, in Hamilton County, Jackson Township, Indiana. If anyone could help or give a hint it would be greatly appreciated.

I sure was hoping someone had some information to help me out! All that I can find out is the information that I have posted and what I have in my tree. I think that Will's grandfather,James W. Parker, lived in Roane County, Tennessee in the 1850 with Melissa "Elizabeth" Hoskins, married 1843 in Anderson County, Tennessee, also showing on the census an elder James Parker age 72 born in Virgina, that could be James W.'s father. On the 1860 census it shows them living in Panola county, showing a Melvina, not sure what happened to Melissa, but it lists her family members such as Milton T. Hoskins, living with James W. Parker, and their children, where it lists Isaac Parkerat the age of 4. The 1930 census shows Will Parker's father, Isaac Miller Parker, was from Texas and his mother, Chalcedony "Chalce Dona" Carroll was from Tennessee. It also shows Anna Marie Hansen's mother and father were from Denmark, and she was born in Nebraska. I heard stories that Isaac's parents were ki!
lled in a tornado, and he lived with a black family. This time frame is where there is missing information that I can not find. I hope someone will be able to get me in the right track!

Looking for information or relatives of Michael and Charles Carroll, who immigrated to America in the 1800's. Michael was born about 1816 and Charles was born about 1824. There parents were William Dalton Carroll and Catherine O'Dell or Odell. I have no other info on them other than they had 5 other brothers. 1 stayed in Ireland, he was called Dalton Carroll, and 4 others, Richard, William, John, and Francis immigrated to Australia.

I'm answering this because of Jersey City. When my grandmother died in 1943 and the family tried to have the grave of her son Earl Francis McCormick d-1932 and her brother John Carley d-1928, Holy Name Cemetery said the deed was picked up as owner named Carroll or Farrell. They had proof of ownership and the graves were unmarked until a stone was erected after 1932. We think someone in the family thought my grandmother Mary Carley McCormick was trying to take ownership of the grave so this family picked up the deed. We had to buy a new pot for Mary.
The cemetery gave me a list of who was buried in this plot.
Mary Duner 60-1884 Ireland, Thomas Carley 17mths-1884 (parents John/Margaret), John Carley 40-1875,Catherine Duner 19-1875(Parents Bernard/Mary)Katie Carroll 6mths-1875 Parents (John/Margaret)Not possible for John died 1 yr. before, Mary Downs (Duner?) 32-1887 could be daughter of Mary Duner,Margaret Carley 45-1887 (Widow of John)Hugh Duner 50-1909 (have copy of deed in his name),John Carley 57-1928, Earl Francis 29-1932. (Parents Samuel & Mary).
When researching John Carley the name Carroll is in same file. What's up? Justine McCormick

We have done a good bit of research on the descendants of Elisha Carroll (1799-1840) that came from Duplin, Nc and settled and died in Twiggs County, Georgia. One son, William B. Carroll went down to Worth County, Georgia and died there. His descendants are in the surrounding south georgia counties as well as Florida. I do not have a William Merrill Carroll. I do have several William H. or William Henry Carrolls; however, they do not match up with yours.
A number of us have had DNA tests done at Family Tree. Have you are any Carrolls in your line?
