Fran, I have posted a reply to your query dated 22 Mar, 2001.
I sent an email to your AOL Email address (see bleow) but it bounced. If you are still on this list, please contact me (jgwheat10(a)aol.com).
Email to Fran:
I saw your message on the CARROLL Rootsweb message board looking for CARROLL's in New Albany, IN. I am seeking the descendants of Patrick and Lydia (YAGGI or BARKER) CARROLL. of New Albany, IN. Patrick was born 25 Sep, 1889/90 in Cannelton, Perry Co., IN. He and Lydia were married 1912 in Perry Co., IN. and they had 5 sons (that I know of): Charles C. b. 1913, Joseph B. b. 1918, Marvin W. b. 1921, Robert L. b. 1923, Irvin P. b. 1926. I'm not sure when they moved to New Albany but I think at least some (if not all) of the children were born there. I do know that New Albany is where Patrick lived most of his adult life and I am pretty sure he died and is buried there (I would like to know where). Patrick was the brother of my grandmother, Anna CARROLL.
I responded to your query in Jan of 2005 and got no reply but I thought since so much time had passed that you may not have seen it.
I have other information about this family but since I'm not sure that this email will get through, I didn't want to spend too much time on it. Let me know if this might be the CARROLLs that you are looking for.

If anyone other that Fran is reading this post and has information regarding this CARROLL family, please contact me.

Does anyone have information on James Carroll son of Bartholomew Carrell Sr.?
In the Sampson County Court Minutes 1784-1800, mentioned are the names Moses Carrel
Stephen Carrel
John Carrel
Can anyone tell me anything about these men...
I descend from Jesse Carroll (Carrell)spelled both ways, in the court minutes....and Mary Rachel Gavin...
From what I am reading they all worked on the roads and clearing the area around Six Runs..along with my G.G.G.Grandfather's Jonathan Fryar(Fryer), and Henry Hollingsworth, Sr.
I would think that those working on certain roads lived near one another..
Also working in this same area are Alexander Carrel, and Demcy (Demsy) Carrel..
Then in the court of 12 Feb 1789, is the following:
Carrel Orphan:
Ordered that Jonas Carrel, an orphan boy of Moses Carrel, an orphan boy of Moses Carrel, deceased, about nine years of age, be bound to Curtis Ivey until he attains the age of 21 years, the said Cutris Ivey is to learn him or have him learnt to read and write..Ordered that he enter into bond the sum of 100 pounds for the performance thereof. He tenders John Crumpler as his surety who is approved by the court. Bond filed.
Copied as written:
Any thoughts or ideas to the connections of these Carrel, Carrell, or Carroll.
Thanks, Jackie Purdy, Shingle Springs, Ca.

I am looking for any information on Walter "Watson" Carroll born about 1841 in Louisiana. I'm pretty sure his mothers name was Lidia Carroll not sure of maiden name nor of his fathers name. I know that he had a sister named Mary Ann born about 1845. In the 1860 census shows them living in Bossier Parish, list mother Lidia as head of household.
Walter Watson married Cynthia Ann Witham and shows them to be living in Arkansas in 1870 census.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
While researching a book titled Tipperary. By J.H.Cotter we find a refernce to Meagher on page 133.
"... when proclaiming him Lord: and the Comarba should be at his shoulder he should rise before the Comarba: and that Meagher was King of Ely."
Supposedly written by one of the Four Masters.
Does anyone, have any other references to this that might state the date or time frame this ocurred? We would like to attempt some cross-referencing/verification.
It is not clear if it pertains to all of Ely- North or South Ely. As it is clear there were different rulers for each.
Please forward any suggestions.
Be well,
Clayton

I hope someone can help me James (Jim) Carroll was born around the late 1800's or early 1900's and died between 1970 and 1975 he was about 75 years old. His family lived in Mecklenburg County, Va. The only thing I know about his father is he was called Uncle Willie (my ggrandfathers brother). I don't know anything about his mother.
Uncle Willie died in 1962 and it was told he was over 100 years old but according to the 1930 census he would have been 95 years old. It was said that Jim Carroll was his only child. Any information would be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance!

Hi Francine,
I am looking for descendants of a Peter Carroll who came from County Cork,
Ireland to Franklin, New Hampshire in the late 1800s. By 1907, Peter was

In the 1950s, Peter was living in Chelsea and Melrose, Massachusetts. Ring
