I also am a decendant of Charles Carroll. My grandmother was Juanita Carroll from Barnwell SC. Her father was Rivers Johnson Carroll. My cousins have lots of info on the Carroll side of our family. The family tree is back to I think yr.1210 from Munster Ireland. Maybe we are relatives.

I am replying to my old message on the message board from August 2005. In that message, I thought that the husband of Julia E. WARREN was Julius CARROLL. I think the document I had looked at was all wrong, and had HER name of Julia confused with her husband's name and his name was wrongly written as Julius.
I have since found the family as Michael CARROLL, b. 1854 in NY and died abt 25 May 1900, buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. He married Julia E. Warren about 1881 (though I can't find a St. Louis record for it). They had the following children:
John Michael CARROLL, b. Sep 1883, d. abt Apr 1952
Joseph P. CARROLL, b. Mar 1886, d. abt 1914?
Edward M. CARROLL, b. Oct 1887
baby, b. abt Jul 1889, d. abt 25 Jul 1889
Leo CARROLL, b. abt Nov 1891, d. abt 21 Nov 1891
Lillie R. CARROLL, b. abt Feb 1895
Julia M. CARROLL, b. May 1900
I'd love to know more about the children, and especially to find some marriages for them. Several of the mentioned family members are buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Laura

Trying to find Rosemary Caroll who was married to Robert Neal Bozeman and also was also married to Basil E. Hopper.
She has a sister named Carol Caroll who was married to Homer Step.
Rosemary had a daughter named Mary Louise.
I am unsure if Mary Louise was given the name Carroll of perhaps the name of her foster father.
Her real father's name is Curtis Young.
Mary Louise was born Feb. 4, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL but later the family moved to WV.
Mary Louise has 2 half sisters who are looking for her.
If you have any info on her whereabouts please contact me at sheilab2(a)gmail.com
Thank you so much.

Hello,
It's me again. I don't know if you are receiving these messages. I have done quite a bit of research on the family and so far have found out some details. I have not been able to find any of the three sisters. Kathryn Bertelson died of cancer in the early 1940's. One of the daughters married in 1947 and I believe had two children in 1949 and 1951. I wonder if you have any information to share. Thanks.

Dear Lori and Laura:
I am interested in your Carroll line. My GGGF Henry Carroll came from Ireland and moved to Liverpool, England during the famine and my GGF Frank Carroll was born in Liverpool. Do you know where in Ireland your Lawrence was born? So far I have only found Henry Carrolls in Wicklow County and Antrim County in the early 1800's.
Go Seahawks!

I've "rescued" an old photograph of David CARROLL which was taken at the
Springer Studio in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with David likely in his 30's or
40's at the time it was taken. In addition to his name, someone has written
"Joe's bro" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I
believe that this may be a photograph of David Newcomer CARROLL b. 5 Jun
1866 in Wharton, PA to parents William Asbury CARROLL and Caroline Masure
HAGER. David married Ada May CHISNELL on 27 May 1889 in Uniontown, PA and
later died in Scottdale, PA on 24 Aug 1906.
During the 1900 census records indicate that the family was living in
Scottdale, PA with records providing the following information:
David N. CARROLL, age 33, born June 1866, married 11 years, born in PA,
parents born in PA, Planing Mill Prop
Ada CARROLL, wife, age 30, b Jan 1870, married 11 yrs, 6 children/6 living,
b England, parents born in Eng, to USA 1872
Charles B. CARROLL, son, age 10, b Jan 1890, b PA, At School
Edith M. CARROLL, dau, age 9, b Apr 1891, b PA
George CARROLL, son, age 7, b Jan 1893, b PA
Lyman CARROLL, son, age 4, b Dec 1895, b PA
Elmer E. CARROLL, son, age 3, b July 1896, b PA
David M. CARROLL Jr, son, age 1, b Nov 1898, b PA
John J. CHISNELL, brother-in-law, age 21, b Dec 1878, b PA, parents born
England, Teamster
During the 1900 census, David's father was living in Wharton, PA with census
records providing the following info:
William A. CARROLL, age 68, born Mar 1832, a widower, born in PA, parents
born in PA, a Farmer
In 1910 David's father remains in Wharton, PA with census records providing
the following information:
William A. CARROLL, age 78, widower, born in PA, parents born in PA/WV, a
Farmer
Jennie JOHNSON, servant, age 48, divorced, born in PA, parents born in PA, a
Cook
Franklin K. BAUMGARDNER, boarder, age 60, widower, born in PA, parents born
in PA, a Farm Laborer
I am hoping that I can find someone from this family so that this wonderful
old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you
are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact
me.
Thanks,

I doubt "my" Rosemary Carroll is the same as "yours". My pic of her was taken in the mid 1950s and she was at least 16 yrs old in the pic - probably closer to 18.
"Your" Rosemary was born in the 1950s.
Does anyone have any information on George and Rhoda married 15 Aug 1852 in
Alabama. They were said to be in Arkansas by 1860. I know who Rhoda's
parents are I have no idea for George.
