Carroll. Just recently I found his parents and siblings in the 1860, 70 & 80

records in St. Martin and St Joseph's church. They lived in South
Baltimore. Edward was a pipe fitter and died in 1934. I do not know
anything about his brother, Thomas. Was your Thomas born about 1857? Did he
live in Baltimore? There are eight Thomas Carrolls in the 1905 and ten in
the 1910 Baltimore City Directory.

Could you give us a little more information? What message # 1?
I see your Subject line mentions The Digest mail list. Those of us not on the Digest list don't know what message # 1 says.

Am hoping your Carroll family was originally from Caven County, Ireland, and lived in Erie Penn. Ferdinand was born in 1751 and Isabelle in 1756 and had 10 children. I have found many articles on the family but nothing much on there history in Ireland. Am very hopeful that you have information to share with me.

In my 15 to 20 years of working with my family history, I've run across countless individuals researching their Carroll family lines. The majority of them have had the same family rumor that I encountered with ours when I started. That we had a connection to Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the Signer of the Declaration of Independence.
So started with what I knew about my family and worked backwards. At the same time I started researching Charles Carroll of Carrollton and his family line with the hope of meeting up somewhere in the middle.
A few years later, I have a family file with 961 individuals for the good Charles with photos and notes. Some of which you can review on my homepage at the address below.

I'd copy the Hyperlink on here for you to click on instead but I think it wouldn't work here. If you have any problems with the address above, you can email me and I'll send the Hyperlink back to you.

I am looking for anyone connected to William Carroll born abt. 1790-1795. He appears on the 1830 Census for Tyler County, (W)Va with wife and three sons & three daughters. He appears to be in Monongalia County, (W)Va (next door) for the 1820 Census.
He could be a brother to Samuel Carroll b. 1798, my 3rd great grandfather. Samuel would have been in those same counties during those years. It is thought that Samuel's mother, Barbara was Cherokee Indian. That might be a clue for someone.
Please contact me.

From an ancestors marriage records I found that my great great grandparents were John Carroll and Jane Byrne. I know that they had at least 3 daughters, one named Julie, one may have been Delia (very unsure of this) and one married a Murphy and had a daughter Kate. The daughter Murphy apparantly was already in the US and Julie and the other sister brought her 10 year old child over from Ireland in 1901. Julie married Edward Boulger. Any information about John Carroll and Jane Byrne would be appreciated. Feel free to email me.
