Oh, thank you, Traci.
Do the books mention a DEMPSEY CARRELL - or a name that could be a
variation of either of those names. Ex. Demcy Carrol, etc.?
I have seen that some researchers thought the Demse James Carroll of
Westmoreland County, VA was the son of a Daniel Carroll who was
related to CC of Charleston.
My interest is in another Demcy Carrel of Duplin/Sampson County, NC,
whom I believe to be the father of my Alexander Carrol married in 1783
in Duplin County. Family tradition says we are related to CC of C.
Names tend to be used in families. Therefore, I thought if the Demse
in VA was a relative of CC of C, perhaps there was more probability
the one in NC was also.
Thank you for your offer. Genealogy folks are the most generous people
on the earth.

I have the book "Princes of Ireland, Planters of Maryland", by Ronald
Hoffman -- the subsequent 3 book series:
"Dear Papa, Dear Charley: The Papers of Charles Carroll of Carrollton
1748-1782 Volumes I, II and III."
I am happy to do look ups if anyone is interested. All of the books
are very
very interesting.

I am posting from a will but I will not write out the will because it is too time consuming. I will put the necessary information. Charles Carroll of A.A. Cty. Md. m. Mary Darnell d/o Henry and Eleanor Hatton. The will dated 12-01-1718--7-28-1720)
They had Mary ; Eleanor; Charles; Daniel; and possibly Henry, not exactly clear on document. He also left to Kinswomen: Elinor Boyd, Margaret Macknamara, Joyce Bradford and ......MACCOYE (the one that I am interested in)
Will of Henry Darnell and Eleanor Hatton: He died 6-16-1711 A.A. Cty. Md. will dated 28 Apr 1711--17 July 1711.
They had Mary who married Charles Carroll (#2 mg.) daughter Anne who married Clement Hill; Elizabeth who married Edward Diggs and a son Henry c1680? and Philip if I am reading this correctly.
Supposedly, a Mary Carroll married a Maccoy(e)/McCoy. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows of a Carroll who married a McCoy. Thank you very much. Ann

I'm not sure where Dade County is but my John A. Carroll was married to Jacinthia Little. As far as I can come up with I think he died before she did. Story has it that he had left home to go check on his father and was never heard from. I still can not find a burial site for him or his parents. I believe his father was Abner or Abnor. I have many Carroll's from Al. if I can be of any help let me know. Thanks for the inquiry.
