I'm looking for information on my grandfather - Charles Harold Carroll from Illinois. I don't know much about him. After he married my grandmother (Bernadine Lutisha Humphrey) they lived possibly in Cambridge or Kewanee during the depression & eventually moved to Wyoming Il. Don't know if he had siblings & don't know where he was born or his parents names. He & Bernadine had 5 Children together - Donald, Clyde, Kenneth, Emma Lou & the youngest of their children is my mother Christine. He died in 1952 or 53 when my mom was 6. Any information anyone could give me would be great. It's a mystery to myself & my mother.
thanks!

I am trying to find anything at all on the Carroll families of Tuscaloosa and Bibb Counties in Alabama. I know that my great great great grandfather was Zack Carroll, who married Martha Ann Oglesby. They are buried in Greenpond. Zack is buried at Hickman Cemetery and she is buried with her family at the Presby. Church Cemetery. Any information on these families would be wonderful and help. I do have some information that I will send, but I will need a home address so that it can be mailed, b/c I don't have any of my information on my computer. Thanks!!
These are not my line - but thought other CARROLLs might be interested in
this info from GA - Newton/Walton Cos.

Jeff (?), I received your e-mail address in a round-about way through other Carroll cousins who are researching family history also.
My father's family line included a Jefferson Davis Carroll (called Jeff by family and friends). These folks were in Twiggs, Wilkinson, and maybe Bleckley counties in Georgia. I am descended from Elisha Carroll, Thomas Jefferson Carroll, and Robert Elisha Carroll.
If you are connected to these Carrolls of Wilkinson and Twiggs Counties in Georgia, I'd love to hear from you.

Hello Janet;
I have done some research on Zevely but can`t answer your question about Eliza, although her name has appeared in some of my previous searches, I will pay more attention in the future and if I learn something I will share it with you. Isaac Edward McGinty was Doog, he carried this name from early childhood. Do you know where Zevelys originated?
Thanks

Hello,
Georgia Zevely McGinty was my grandmother's (Florence Zevely Griffith) sister. Are you researching the Zevely side? If so, I have a question. Georgia's father was Albert Zevely. His father James Henry and his mother Eliza Logan. Do you know anything about Eliza? Family rumor is she was part Indian. I would love to know anything you may know.
I remember my grandmother talking about Georgie. Was she once married to a Doug?
Thank you,
Jan Tucker
Jeff,
Saw an old posting on Jesse CARROLL. I'm looking for a Jesse CARROLLborn
about 1829 probably in Georgia. He was in Santa Rosa County, Florida in 1850 and
1860 but disappeared after that (Civil War casualty?). His family stayed in
the county into the 1900s.
Jess CARROLL's wife was Mary (surname unknown). Children were: Daniel
(1852), George T (1848), Ann (1849), Mary (1850), William (1851), Lenore (1856),
Simon (1857), Caleph (1859), and Wayberry (1866).
Any chance we're talking about the same family?
Thanks,
Shannon Suarez Abbott
