The most popular Carroll book that I am aware of is
"Virginia Carrolls and Their Neighbors 1618-1800s"
by Elizabeth Carroll Foster .
It was available through Heritage Books

If you have any information on the Carroll family in Hawkins County, TN - I would like to have any information you do. My grandmother was a Carroll - her father (from what I know) was Ferdinand Telford Carroll (spelling varies) and her mother was Vona Dunham(Denham). Thank you for helping.

I have always been told by my elderly aunt that our Carrolls have a
connection with CC of C. I have been able to trace them to Virginia but then
I do not pick up on them again until the mid 1800s in Shelbyville, Illinois
where I was able to get copies of obits of my great grandfather. In that
article they mention that the family came originally from Alexandria, VA but
due to the time lapse between those years and the years in Illinois, I feel
something is missing. Does anyone have information about Carroll in
Alexandria and where they relocated? Thank you, Gayle Carroll
I concur with Eric. My research shows the following - - -
CC of C (1737-1832)
His son, Charles (1775-1825)
Grandson, Charles (1801-1862) Source: European Origin of Settlers, Colonial
Families of Maryland 1600s - 1900s
Great-Grandson, Charles (1828-1895) Source: "Family History of Southern
NY, Vol. III"
I will go back and double check my sources.

Looking for any information on Phillip Carroll, born in Pennsylvania in Oct. 1832; he married Margaret Jane Cunningham, born in New York City, April 1843. They were my great-great grandparents. Both sets of their parents were born in Ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are looking info about who they could be. Jack mailed packages from Florida each Christmas. We found a 8X10 picture of him that we think was taken in the late 40's or early 50's. he looks like he is wearing a taxi driver outfit. He looks middle age in the picture. The pictures were found in GEORGE Co Ms (CENTRAL COMMUNITY).
There is a picture of HELENA CARROLL THAT WE THINK WAS TAKEN IN THE EARLY 1900'S
THANKS IN ADVANCE
There is plenty of info on CC of C in various places. The Univ. of
Maryland library for one. The Catholic Encyclopedia is on line. People
with the Carroll surname must remember that CC of C had only one son
(Charles) and his son had only daughters.

What's the chance of seeing the ancestors of Charles Carroll of Carrollton.
Does anyone had an anentafel or pedigree?

Hi Leslie,
Can you please post your descendant line from CC of C down to you. This
may be a great help to others doing CC of C research.

Hi,
Do you know anything else about him? I was struck by his middle name
"Emmett". I have two Robert Emmett Carrolls (b.1852 NY & d.1902 WI) (b.
1872 PA & d. 1945 WI) and one Richard Emmett Carroll (b. aft. 1941 probably
in WI). Evidently Emmett was a popular middle name in my family.
