Dear List,
I am looking for any information on my gg grandparents: George Carroll b. c
1790 in Ireland and Mary Unknown Carroll b. c 1798 in North Carolina.
Have only found them in 1850 census of Campbell County, TN with children:
ELVIRA b. 1823 NC, WILLIAM b. 1827 TN, LUISA b. 1833 TN, ELIZABETH b. 1839
TN and PHILLIP b. 1841 TN. George was 60 at time of this census, so I am
sure there were other children. Based on William's birth, this family would
have been in TN by 1827.
Elizabeth, my ggrandmother m. Clinton Pierce in 1866 and they remained in
Campbell/Claiborne Counties,TN.
William, I believe, married Mary Monday. He was killed during the War
leaving Mary with children Harriet Melviney, Samuel, Mary Elvirey, Jordan
and Margaret. They are in 1860 Claiborne County TN census.
Looking forward to hearing from someone!
