I`m searching for my ggrandmother, Nancy J. CARROLL b. 1841 in Illinois and m.
William G. YOCUM [they may have lived in MO, but later moved to KS]. I believe
Nancy`s parents were Irish. Nancy`s son [my grandpa] was b. in 1882 in Shawnee
Co., KS and always claimed to be a [redheaded] Irishman. From what I can gather
alot of the CARROLL`s are from Ireland. I've not been able to go past Nancy.
Any info will be deeply appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I am researching for CARROLLs from Lafollette, TN. Since my information about
that area is scant, I will welcome anyone's response and see if we can link
our CARROLLs from what I have.
Basically I have (according to marriage certificate) Father: Tom CARROLL
Mother: Bettie CARROLL CARROLL Groom: Walter Roscoe CARROLL Bride: Myrtle
BENGE. They listed Tom and Bettie's residence as LaFollette, TN and the
marriage certificate was issued in Waco, Madison Co. KY during June 14, 1932.
So I am searching for any CARROLLs in Lafollette, TN.
Thank you,
Linda Carroll

Hi!
I have been searching for my Carroll ancestors. All that I know is that
JOHN CARROLL(b. 1848) and two siblings (at least) were abandoned or
orphaned on Itawamba Co. MS in the 1860's. John and his brother Ike or
Ichabod were taken in and lived with the Ephraim Wiygul family. Their
sister Nancy Carroll, was living in the James Wiygul household in the 1870
census. The census also says that they were all born in MS.
I have no idea of their parentage or where they came from. I have not been
able to find them in an earlier census either.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nancy

Dear Annie,
few years ago I was given as a gift a video tape titled "CARROLL". It is
the story of the Carroll name along with a fascinating history of Ireland.
It is produced in Ireland by the Heritage Corporation, 2 Upper Mount Street,
Dublin 2, Ireland. It has been awhile since I viewed it and don't remember
whether it refers to your spelling of "Carrell" specifically but it does
refer to some variations. You might check your local video store for a copy
or a special order. Hope this helps some.

Searching for Anne "Nancy" DUNN ( born abt. 1810 in Ire.) who married CARROLL
or CARROLTON. I do not have his first name. They would have been in the
SALEM, MA area 1840 onward. She was from Queens (Laois) Co. Ire. Do not know
if they married in Ire or US. They had at least two children JOSEPH and
CHRISTOPHER who would have been born about 1840. JOSEPH lived in the Salem
area and was still alive about 1870/80. Christopher was lost at sea at age
16. The ship went down and all hands were lost. If anyone has any
information on this family I would be very grateful. Thank you.
