My gf (NOT ggf) was born at Doneraile, just north
of Mallow and was baptized there July 26, 1830 --
I have the certificate. He was the son of John
Carroll and Mary Barry.
He attended Teachers College at Dublin where he
met and married Briget Aylward who was
one year his junior.
They seem to have come to Canada in 1852, spent
some time in Middleton Connecticut before
returning to Canada to settle in the Guelph,
Ontario area.
Does this connect for anyone on this list?
Bill Carroll, Toronto
Daniel CARROLL married Susan (Sucky) JONES in Caswell County, NC, on 5 Jan
1801. Both were born about 1780. They migrated to Robertson County, TN, and
lived there until their deaths (Daniel in 1859, Susan in 1860s). Several
Carrolls/Carrells of the same age range lived in adjoining Sumner County, TN.
I would like to know the parents of Daniel CARROLL/CARRELL and Susan JONES,
and if possible their siblings. I would like to know if the Carrolls in Sumner
County (Wiley m. Elizabeth GILPIN 1808; Betsy m. John SLOAN 1809; Robert m.
Sally COCHRAN 1811 with Thos. CARREL as bondsman; William m. Cecilia M.
BRADFORD 1813; Hannah m. Henry MARTIN 1813; Robert m. Peggy STUART 1817;
Elizabeth m. Len. S. SIMS 1819) were related to Daniel and Susan. Any
information at all about Daniel CARROLL and Susan JONES from deeds, wills, etc
would be most welcome.

Can anyone inform me how I can get a copy of a Naturalization
Certificate for my great grandfather, Francis Edwin Carroll? He became
a U.S. citizen between 1865 to 1890. Thank you.
