Lura,
When you log in do you have to enter your kit number and password every
time? I see the spot to remember the number and password but it doesn't
work for me.
Charles C.
Do you want to upload a GEDCOM file to be shared by FTDNA with
those persons who you match?
Have you tried to do it, and it doesn't work?
Do you want me to help?
I CAN'T create a GEDCOM file for you. You must do that with your
own genealogy software program. BUT... I will upload the .ged
file for you if you want me to do so.
What I will need in order to upload your gedcom file.
1. Your kit #
2. Your password for FamilyTreeDNA
3. A file you have created with your software program that is an
ancestor tree of the DNA donor that you have EXPORTED and
selected .ged as the extension (meaning type of file). Send
that file as an attachment to me and I will be glad to upload it
for you.
I will not share your password unless you specifically tell me
that it is all right to do so. A few of you have told me to
share your information where it could be helpful to others.

Charles E,
Yes, I must log in each time. It doesn't remember me either most
of the time. If you leave the site and come back, you must login
again.
At first FTDNA sent a URL you could click to go to your personal
website, but they stopped doing that. I assume they stopped
doing that, because that would made it easier for some hacker to
access your website. I think now they just send the kit # and
your password.

Lura: The file is good to go. Thank you for all your help. You may delete
my info. Now it's waiting to see who connects. I'm beginning to think New
England has no Carrolls' left.
