Sometime in the not too distant past Rootsweb had begun using a SPAM filter called SORBS
on mail as it came through the server. Apparently a lot of mail has been bounced back to
people recently by that spam filter. It seems that when a SPAM letter started coming
through, SORBS temporarily blocked all mail from that internet provider until it could
process the problem. Rootsweb has now stopped using SORBS - I think today! I think
Rootsweb has done a fantastic job considering the millions of letters/day they process.
Has anyone had mail bounced back when you wrote to this list? (I helped to subscribe a
couple of you who may have had a bounce-back.)
Has anyone received SPAM recently through any Rootsweb mail list?
If you EVER get a piece of SPAM through this mail list, please send it to me immediately
