I sent this yesterday. It bounced back this morning, so I'm
sending again. Please excuse if you have gotten it twice. Lura

Hi Kevin,
Good to hear from you. I wondered where you had been hiding out
of sight for a while. I thought perhaps you were working on the
other side of the world again.
The question was raised on the CARROLL mail list about the column
in our chart headed "Family Tree Link". In almost every block it
says, "See Site". I had been wondering myself what those terms
meant and what was the value of that column, so I thought it
might be a good time to ask my question.
What Site are we supposed to see? I think of a "Link" as being a
hyperlink that when clicked took one to another website. There
are no hyperlinks in that column. Should we create a pedigree for
each DNA donor and put a hyperlink from this column to the
pedigree? (I know I couldn't do anything like that.) Is that
column needed at all? The chart could be a little shorter
without that column.
At the bottom I notice three numbers for mtDNA records. I didn't
know we were branching into that area now. Fantastic! Won't a
new chart be needed for those reports? The headings won't be the
same as for the Y-DNA reports.
I hope your internet and FTP problems are soon resolved. I can
get the home page for FTDNA now, but I still cannot access the
CARROLL site. The message I get is "There is a problem with this
website's security certificate." I wonder if they have been hit
with a virus.
Lura
