Lura,
That sounds about right. I have a note indicating that Charles (1828) sold
the Manor to his brother, the Hon. John Lee Carroll.
I would add one more son of Charles and Mary Digges Lee, who was another
Thomas Lee. Their first Thomas Lee died young.
By the way, check out Kit #40593 as a possible descendant... Of an Albert
and Charles, etc.
I think my migraine is returning. Always happens when I do this Carroll
digging....
Eric

Subject: [CARROLL-DNA] Correction on CC of C family
I apparently had error in my last letter regarding the children of
Charles
Carroll of Doughoregan. Here is the list of his sons given by Marc
Carroll
at his website
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/c/a/r/Mark-S-Carroll/index.html?W
elcome=1097321824
I realize that Marc may also be in error, but right now, he knows
more
than
I do.
Charles Carroll of Doughoregan - b July 25, 1801, m Mary Diggs Lee
SONS:
* Charles Carroll - b 1828, m Carolyn Thompson
Thomas Sim Lee Carroll - b 1829, d 1833
* John Lee Carroll - b 1830, d unknown
* Robert Goodloe Harper Carroll - b 1840, d unknown
* Albert Henery Carroll - b unknown, d 1862, m Mary Cornelia, children ?
Oswald Carroll b unknown, d unknown, died as infant
This shows 4 sons may have had children - Charles, John Lee, Robert, and
Albert.
Marc Carroll has this note regarding Charles b 1828, "This Charles
inherited Doughoregan Manor and is named in the will of his great
grandfather."
That's all I know for right now. I'll take another look at it later. It
seems there MAY be more descendants out there somewhere.
