Ladies,
The fact remains that 3, and possibly 4 living Carroll men have had their
Y-DNA analyzed and are related. Closely related. One of them (kit #
32061) is descended from a Demsey Carroll, Sr. The other three (kits #
29146, 30624 and 56607) are closely related to the living descendant of
Dempsey Carroll.
Unfortunately, kit # 45507 has not given his lineage. The others have. I
do not know the identities of these living Carroll men. You need to work
with Kevin Carroll, the Carroll Project Administrator at
<kushtiqa(a)hotmail.com> to work that out. He should have their contact
information. I am not related.
Best of luck to all of you.....
Eric Olson
Carroll-DNA List Administrator
(not to be confused with the Carroll Surname Project at FTDNA)

Good morning everyone,
First of all, I don't consider myself a CARROLL researcher --
Demse (the way Pat's and mine spelled his name in his will) -- is the
FIRST
Carroll in our line. We both (or at least my husband) descends from
Benjamin STARR whose wife was Charlotte Pinkston, granddaughter of Demse
Carroll. Everything I know about our Demse is found within the two
reports that appear on my webpage -- URL before. I forwarded the
original
message to Nancy Fratt, who has spent much of her genealogical career
researching our Demse's line. I haven't heard back from her yet, but
she's the only person I know who can possibly back a male line to
Desme. And I'm not sure she can.

We haven't found the snuff box (or anyone that can realiably say
they've seen it) either. It comes from the line of Demse's last wife,
Rebeckah Heath. Linda
