Good Morning to all!
I was in our local Genealogy Library yesterday....and picked up a few
tidbits. They may not help any of you, but thought I would post them
anyway.

From AL Records, Vol 19, Jackson Co:
George A. Sublett at Bellefonte 20 January 1866 made deposition:
Almarinda Sturkey, wife of Gideon Sturky(sic), admr. of estate of
Rebecca Carrington, deceased; states that he heard that the deseased has
several children living in North Carolina; land lies in Jackson County,
AL about three miles from Sublett's Ferry. Deed to John Skelton.
AL Records, Vol. 124 Madison Co.:
Page 504 13 Dec 1826. John Keeton and wife Margaret to Lecester(sic)
Carrington--1/2 acre in Meridianville. Jno. Vining, J.P., Ro. A.
Bell, J.P.
.....I am still looking for any info on C.D. Carrington (some say his
first name is Cotsworth or Coatsworth.....tho I have yet to see anything
with this name on it). The earliest thing I have on him is that he
appears in the Marshall Co, TN 1840 Census....living next to a Nelson
Carrington. They appear to both be around the same age.
I have also found a Nelson Carrington buying land in Madison and Jackson
Cos, AL...from 1830-1836.
