Welcome to the list, Pam, I only today received a copy of a Carrington
book from Tracey Comwerse (another list member). I have not had a
chance to read the entire book yet, only scanned through it so far but I
remembered the name COZART. Here is what it said about the
COZART/CARRINGTON connection...(Perhaps this Ann Caroline Cozart is your
Caroline. Of course I note you are already aware of this Carrington,
but if you should decide she is you might want to ask Tracey for a coupy
of the book...
THE MARY CARRINGTON BRANCH
Mary "Polly" Carrington, born February 9, 1802, married David Cozart III
on April 14, 1820. he was the son of Williams and Holly Mangum Cozart.
David and Mary Carrington Cozart migrated from Orange County, NC to
Pleasant Exchange in Henderson County, TN in 1827 and died there. Mary
Carrington Cozart died November 14, 1889. David Cozart III was born
April 28, 1797 and died on march 20, 1886. They were the parents of:

3. Eliza Jane Cozart
4. Green Alfred Cozart
5. Julia M. Cozart
6. William Cozart III
7. William Hubbard Cozart
8. James M. Cozart
9. Rianna Frances Cozart
10. Macon "Meekins" H. Cozart
11. Holly Ridley Cozart
12. Rufus David Cozart
Wiley D. Cozart, oldest child of Mary Carrirngton and David Cozart,
served in the Mexican War in 1848. In 1875 he moved from Wilderville,
Tennessee, to Indian Bay, Arkansas. He was born February 8, 1821.
Ann Carolina Cozart was born Mary 11, 1822.
Eliza Jane Cozart was born September 21, 1823.
Williams Cozart III was born May 14, 1829.
William Hubbard Cozart was born March 31, 1831.
James M. Cozart was born April 8, 1833.
Rinna Frances Cozart was born May 7, 1835.
Macon "Meekins" Cozart, born April 15, 1837, died in Nashville,
Tennessee, just after the Civil War closed. He never married.
Rufus David Cozart, born July 20, 1812, was a farmer. He married but his
wife and children's names are unknown to this author. he died in 1924.
Holly Ridley Cozart was born October 24, 1839 and married Simeon Carnal,
son of Reverend Moses Carnal and Rebecca Cozart Carnal. Rebecca C. and
Reverend Moses Carnal were married in Orange County, NC and migrated to
Tennessee in the latter part of the 18th century. He was a Missionary
Baptist minister. he died in 1837 or 1838. Holly Ridley Cozart Carnal
died in January 1898. Simeon Carnal died in December, 1892.
