Hi Gwen,
Thanks for the reply. I must confuss that I have a bit of a gap in my info. So my links
are unconfirmed as yet but what I am attempting to do is figure out where the
"carrington" comes into my hubby's family and I am hoping the answer lies
with Sarah. The details I have for her are:
Joseph Simpson from Glossop married Sarah Carrington on 20 Aug 1799 at Chapel en le
Frith.
There is also a James Simpson marrying a Betty Carrington 8 Mar 1808 Chapel en le Frith.
I am assuming both couples are related, given the small number of family names in the
region at the time.
I don't have confirmed parents for her yet. Nor for that matter do I have a confirmed
link to my family! But it seems a likely match given the consistent name usage.
I have only just started looking at this tree but if you do a search for Joseph Carrington
Simpson on Ancestry you should find a tree under my name.
Cheers
Leanne
