We know she was living with her son Micajah Carrington as enumerated on the 1850 Coweta
County census for the 19th district, # 118. She was listed as being 95, a pauper, born in
Virginia. Her other children who also had lived with them in Coweta County, daughters
Sarah Carrington and Winifred (Carrington) Thompson, had disappeared from the census
reports after 1840, presumably deceased.
We assume Winnifred (King) Carrington died in Coweta County and was buried there, either
in a pauper's grave or possibly in a Primitive Baptist church cemetery, or in a family
cemetery on Micajah's land (assuming that he owned the land rather than rented), in an
unmarked grave. No record of tombstones for any of these Carringtons has surfaced that I
have been able to find.
