Subject: Carringtons North Wales
Hello Peter,
I hope you don't mind but I read your message and I thought I just write and say that
I am researching my Carrington's that came from Wrexham, North Wales, the earliest I
have is a George and Ann Carrington, the only thing is I don't know at this moment
where they came from, their son Thomas again I don't know, his wife's name was
Elizabeth and Thomas was a Miner, one of their sons names was Francis and he was born 1792
again I don't know where, one of his wife's name was an Elizabeth Jones and she
came from Denbighshire in North Wales, I think there was seven children, there could have
been more because apparently he was the marring type.
They seam to have come to North Wales from somewhere else looking for work, ( they were
Tin Miners and then Coal Miners ), but once they were in Wales I think they stayed, I know
my line did as for the others who knows.
Would you be able to keep a ear out for the names George and Thomas Carrington, you said
that your ancestors may have come from Cheshire, mine could have as well, another
possibility is Somerset, that place has been mentioned once or twice.
Thank you.
Rhiannon
