Folks,
PLEASE REREAD ROOTSWEB'S STANDARD NOTICE AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH
"GATEWAYED" POST:
"Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to
this list. If you would like to reply to them, please click on the
Message Board URL link above and respond on the board."
This is a reminder from me that any post to a list that starts with the
phrase
"This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list."
has been "gatewayed" from a surname Board to the corresponding surname
List. Simply, this means that the original post was sent, in this case,
to the CARRINGTON Board and, because the "gateway" between the Board and
List has been opened, was also automatically re-sent to the CARRINGTON List.
BUT, this means that unless the original Board poster is also a member
of the List (and most are not), any replies to a gatewayed post sent to
the List will NOT be seen by the Board poster.
If you wish to reply to a gatewayed post in such a way that your reply
will be seen by the Board poster, you must do so by clicking on the
"Message Board URL:" link, and reply using the Board response system.
If there are any questions about how the gateway works, please contact
me directly off-list and I'll assist and explain further.
Thanks!
Peter
CARRINGTON List Admin.
