Shenstone in Staffordshire which I believe is near Lichfield. Basically, my gran employed
a professional to look into her tree some time ago and then when he could do no more it
stopped. When she passed away I took it up and have been filling in the gaps as it were.
We have managed to get back to george Carrington who died in 1700 but the professional did
say he thought that although all of the Carringtons he had found for us so far had been in
Staffordshire that they may have come from Derbyshire. My grans side of the family broke
the mould by moving to Cheshire in the early 1900s. Most were Miners or Bridle Bit Makers
