Hi Ann,
It sounds like we are cousins. My 4th great grandparents were Samuel
Carrington and Mildred McDaniel. Is that your line?
I am descended from Randolph (their son) who went from MD to Callaway Co.,
MO in the 1820s. I've got info on Samuel's and Mildred's parents that
people gave me but I have no source info except the names of people who
provided it. Do you have anything better?
Thanks,
Jim Terry

Any idea where these Carringtons came from or where they went after Ohio??
My own branch of the Carrington family moved from Maryland to Kentucky in
the early 1800s. Then they moved from Kentucky to Indiana in the 1830s.
Then they moved on into Illinois around the Civil War.
I have always heard that there were 3 different branches of the Carrington
family (New England, Maryland, and Virginia). And the last I heard, nobody
knew for sure how they might be related to each other. I hope somebody
will post the information if that has changed!
