Donna: The book I referred to previously The Search for the Descendents of
the Mary & John) also a very well documented book, states Ruth married
Joshua. This book mainly follows the Holcomb line and not the
Sherwoods.
I just felt there was more than enough evidence to support. However, each
of us has to make our own decisions and I was only trying to help. Cathy

Yes, I found my zerox copy. on pg 39 it states in the will "Ruth which I had by my
last wife" meaning Mary Fitch. but 4 paragraphs down it states "One of the
daughters; Ruth, married John Barlow" Again on pg 50 "As late as 1725-6 Ruth
Barlow, daughter of Thomas Sherwood, makes over this woodland Northeast of Sasco Nect to
her son Francis Barlow with the statement that she inherited it from her honored father,
Thomas Sherwood." That what led to my confusion.
