Lora,
if you want to ensure that your reply to a List post is seen by the
original poster, please remember the difference between regular posts
sent to the CARRINGTON List and posts that have been "gatewayed" from
the CARRINGTON Board.
Any post that starts with the phrase
"This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list."
has NOT been sent directly to the List. Since most Board posters are
also NOT members of the corresponding List, you must respond in a
different way.
PLEASE RE-READ the "Important Note' at the bottom of the original post
that gave rise to this response from me. If you are unsure of the
difference or simply don't know what to do, contact me off-list at:
mailto:CARRINGTON-admin@rootsweb.com.

There are two distinct Connecticut Carrington families. One is an early
New England English family. The other is a later-arriving Irish family
that emigrated from County Roscommon during the 1840s. So, the easy
answer is, not all Carringtons are related, even in Connecticut.

I'm researching my Kentucky Carrington family roots and have
encountered two other Carrington lineages. Are the
Connecticut/Massachusetts AND North Carolina lineages related to
mine, in Kentucky?
