Victoria County Texas 1850 cenus lists the following family on August 21:

Ellen Caragon, 25, female, born Ireland
Andry Gable Caragon, 4, female, born Tx.

Goliad County Texas census lists the following family on September 17:

Ellin Coragan, 25, female, born Ireland
Andrus Coragan, 4, female, born Texas
Johanus Coragan, 2, female, born Texas
Maryann Coragan, 1, female, born Texas
This would apper to be the same family who has moved from Victoria to Goliad and has been
counted twice.
A marriage record on the LDS website lists:
John Carriagan m. Elen Gabell Oct. 23, 1847 in Victoria, Texas
Mary Ann Carrigan was christened on March 19, 1850 in the Saint Mary Catholic Chuch in
Victoria, Victoria, Texas.
A John Carrigan was in the 5th Texas Infantry per the Texas State Archives site.
Hoping to connect this John Carriagn to Ellen McDonald O'Meara. Both were Irish
immigrants, with John appearing to arrive in Texas first.
Thanks for any information.
Jack
