Hi,
I would just like to let you know that the Corrigan (and variants) Surname Project has
results back for 5 members. Our latest member transferred over from the National
Geographic "Genographic Project".
https://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html
He is a Corrigan, whos family are from Co Tyrone, Ireland. and matches very closely with
11/12 markers to a Carrucan, from Co Clare, Ireland. We are waiting on further marker
results to see if this match continues. (Our Carrucan family may have migrated down from
Tyrone to Clare.)
This is the first close match we have in our project so far. We hope with more people
joining, we will have many more matches.
The Corrigan Surname Project uses genetics to find related family. For genealogical
purposes a 25 or 37 marker test is recommended. This test is done on males of the
Carrigan, Corrigan etc.. line to determine relatedness.
Also I wanted to let you all know that the laboratory doing the tests have offered
"Holiday specials" for 4 new members until 31 December 2006.
