So...
Since the Argenteuil registry supports this marriage I must assume
that either the other marriages are wrong or that this family may
have had a Jean CARRIER and a Jean Baptiste CARRIER
So far... This is what I have.... And I need help with the mix-up
I have
Jean Baptiste CARRIER-CARRIERE
age 31 in 1881 census (1850)
age 40 in 1891 census (1851)
age 53 in 1901 census (1848)
Another Source has born Dec 28 1840 in Montebello
While another Source has born Mar 1853 Papineau
s/o Andre Toussaint CARRIER
and Marguerite M. DOYER (aka Gaiete DODIER-dit-DARGUE)
m1 Jun 15 1863 St-Andre-Avellin, Ripon Twp., Quebec
Emilie PILON
d/o Hubert PILON & Josephete GROULX
* If Mar 1853 birthdate is right he was 10 when he married
m2 Sep 07 1874 Ripon, Papineau, Quebec (Cheneville ?) -Drouin
Olive "Alice" PILON
born 1852
died Apr 08 1908 Chelmsford, Ontario (I've seen her tombstone)
d/o Moise PILON & Justine SARRAZIN
* Note the death date
m3 Feb 20 1879 Grenville, Argenteuil, Quebec (Répertoire)
Narcisse FOUCAULT
widow of Jean Baptiste PROULX
* But he never divorced Olive PILON and she had children
after 1879 and Olive was with him in every census up to
1901.
BTW... In the 1911 census, Johny CARRIERE was married
to a Philomene UNKNOWN (I think it was GAUTHIER)
Can anyone help?
