I found this on another list and have just started poking around in the
site.
In the "History of Andover" there are reference's to Thomas and Martha.
I'm sure some will find some interesting stuff.

New Books Online
Hello GenMass, ESSEX-ROOTs -
http://www.rootsweb.com/~magenweb/
MAHistory -
http://www.state.ma.us/sec/arc/arcaac/aacintro.htm
MAGen - MAGenweb coordinator/volunteer list
There are several new books online
at the Free Books Onine Effort
http://genweb.net/~books/
http://genweb.net/~blackwell/books.html
Five have been fully OCRed
(optical character recognized)
and have had a main HTML page made with the table of contents
and links to the OCRed text and to the directory containing
the G4TIFF images.
All need further editing that I will not have time to do
and need volunteers to do so.
I hope the appropriate MA town coordinators
will link these books in, and help me find serious volunteers.
Those books are -
History of Andover by Sarah Loring Bailey pub 1880, 626+ pages
http://genweb.net/~books/ma/andover1880/and000.shtml
History of Easton by Chaffin pub.1886, 838 pages.
http://genweb.net/~books/ma/easton1886/east000.shtml
History of Lynn by Alonzo Lewis and James R.Newhall,
http://genweb.net/~books/ma/lynn1/lynn.shtml
vol. 1 (1629-1864) and vol. 2 (1864-1890)
including Lynnfield, Saugus, Swampscott, and Nahant.
OCRed, maps GIF, G4TIFF, OCR editing needed
History of Chelmsford by Rev. Wilson Waters pub.1917
http://genweb.net/~books/ma/chelmsford1917/chel000.shtml
History of Palmer by J. H. Temple 518 pages
http://genweb.net/~books/ma/palmer1889/palm001.shtml
I scanned in these books and 20+ others on a Kodak 3500
http://www.kodak.com/cgi-bin/webProductTypes.pl?type=Scanners
(which scanned in an unbound book in ten minutes or less)
during a demonstration given by Inception Technology of Andover Mass.
http://www.inceptiontech.com
I was in a rush to scan in as much as possible so
I did not have time to use its software so the images are not cropped
perfectly, as would be if I had used their software.
This batch of 20+ books are better than my earlier attempts because
they are scanned in from original unbound books specially loaned from
http://www.nehgs.org
They are scanned in at 300dpi (dots per inch) so they OCR well.
Earlier scans were often from photocopies at 200 dpi.
If anyone has access to a good automatic feed scanner let me know.
I'm hoping NEHGS will buy one but they are looking for donors.
If anyone has access to unbound books or
books whose bindings can be destroyed please let me know.

http://genweb.net/~books/ Free Books Online Effort.
http://blackwell.webjump.com my resume, I'm looking for a new job.
PS I'll be adding in the other books as time permits.
Since I do not have access to the Kodak software
cropping, rotating takes a lot of time, and
OCRing, HTMLing, and ftping takes a day or two per book.
